Rush Simmons
Rush focuses his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, and Elder Law. Rush assists individuals and families who are establishing their estate plans, navigating the probate process after the death of a loved one, or are planning ahead for long-term care needs.
Rush is a Charlotte native who now lives in Mount Holly. He attended the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, graduating in 2008 with a B.A. in Political Science. He then attended Campbell Law School, graduated cum laude in 2012, and was admitted to practice in North Carolina the same year.
In addition to private practice experience, Rush spent time as an Assistant Clerk in the Estates and Special Proceedings department of the Lincoln County Clerk of Court’s office. There, Rush oversaw the department responsible for auditing estate administration paperwork and conducting hearings related to estate matters. He also conducted incompetency adjudication hearings, guardianship hearings, and foreclosure hearings.
Rush is a member of the Gaston County Bar, North Carolina State Bar, and North Carolina Bar Association. Rush is also a member of National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He currently serves as a council member, and is the chair of the ethics committee, for the Elder & Special Needs Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and is a member of the steering committee for the Next Gen Fund of the Gaston Community Foundation.
